Devotional: My Prayer Today



There is a song that has been ministering to my heart over the weekend. It's not a new song for me, but there is always that song that means more at a time when you need it. It is Never Forsake Me by James Fortune. The song speaks about everything God does for us and how he proves His love for us time and time again.
 
Over the weekend I was so confused at some feelings I was feeling, to the point people were asking me what was wrong with me and I could not articulate it. Most thought it was weird, and at first I was bothered by the fact that I could not speak on the feeling, but it was God's way of silencing me so I could be still enough for Him to give me a reminder and it came through that song. I went through so many stages...confused, irritated with God, stillness, and then he reminded me that if I REALLY surrendered ALL of my life to Him I should not be worried, bothered, or concern. Then He gave me peace.  And I am not going to say that I understand it completely because that would be a lie. But I know that He is with me and I am so glad that I can count on Him. His grace and his mercy has proven so true in my life!
When all else fails God will never forsake you. That is my message for you, for me, today. ​
​He is with us, He is our peace, our hope, our strength, our refuge, our covering, our comfort, our everything! Anything that you need He can and will provide. ​He will carry us through, so lets allow Him to what only He knows how to do best; love us unconditionally.


I have attached the song. Listen to it and allow it to resonate within you. My prayer for us all today is a simple thank you. Thank you Lord for being everything that we need. Thank You Lord for loving us! Thank You Lord for saving us time and time again! Thank You Lord for picking us up when we have falling. Thank You Lord for forgiving us! Thank You Lord for providing us with our hopes, dreams, and desires! Thank You Lord for orchestrating for us! Thank You Lord for saving us, even when we don't want to be saved or can't see a way out! Just thank You God for it all! Amen...
